Xmas Rocks – and it certainly did!

Well, well well… what can I say….how about FANTASTIC!

Major Music brought Christmas 2009 in with a big party bang last night with a live concert at St Donats Arts Centre. The festive atmosphere was kept alive throughout the night with all acts throwing in a little Christmas number into each set. A task which was set only a couple of weeks ago!

The line up consisted of Paranoid Androids, Septic Blue, Red (Rhiannon, Ellie and Dan), Breaking the Silence and Skate Ketchup all of which performed amazingly well last night, in particular some of the younger ones who performed for the first time on stage.  The night climaxed with the finale, pictured above, which had the whole venue rocking to Slades Merry Chrismas.
Everybody gave fantastic performances and proved that the last few weeks of preparation have been well worth while. Well done all!

Guys, wow what a tremendous gig last night….the atmosphere was buzzing!
I’d just like to say a big thankyou to all those who performed last night – well done!
It made me proud to be part of the Major Music team and last night was what it’s all about!
Big thanks also to those who organised the night itself, (back room stuff), operated the technical bits and bobs, compere and visual/photos and Janet and her team at St. Donats Arts Centre….(megga).
Photos from the night are available via ordering with Derek Naylor.
Major Music will be marking it’s tenth anniversary in 2010 with a number of events,…if you have ideas let us know.

    Thanks again.
    Phil

Would just like to say what a fantastic opportunity Major Music has given the youngsters of The Vale.
How many young people can say they play in a band and practise every week in a recording studio and then go on to perform at a great venue every few months.
    Xmas rocks was amazing!!

Last Friday night we were rocking in the balcony at St Donats to the sounds of some brilliantly talented young musicians, all brought together by the expert guidance of the Major Music Team. My son Joe goes to the meetings every Tuesday evening and he loves it. He got up on stage at the end to join in the final song too. Very well organised, very well publicised and whoever was in charge of sound did an excellent job. Looking forward to the next event with anticipation. Beats staying in!!! Well done :)
