How we do it

The workshops give those attending the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of creative music making, and including

  • Learn and play music… and have fun!
  • Play a variety of instruments

and including:

  • Guitar
  • Bass
  • Keyboards
  • Drums – Rock & Electronic
  • Singing and vocal techniques
  • Safe operation of equipment – Health & Safety
  • Looking after your equipment – Care & Repair
  • Group dynamics – putting a band/group together and marketing.
  • Studio work including recording and, where appropriate training in the use of the studio equipment leading to a recognised accreditation award.

In addition to the above young people are also give the opportunity to perform at showcase and other themed events, and also at local community events involving other organisations. (In addition to performing at the showcase events all those young people participating would also be expected to be involved in the planning and organisation of the event and in realising the importance of teamwork).
